First Last Best Worst Exercise

Frequency: Every two weeks

The First Last Best Worst exercise is something you can do yourself, or share this activity with others. It's a great dinner table conversation starter. In this exercise, the idea is to use prompts such as “first car”, “music concert”, “holiday”, etc to trigger memories that help you identify storyworthy moments from your life. For each prompt, you fill in the first word or set of words that come to mind.

When you sign up for StoryCoach, you will get an email every two weeks with a new prompt so you can do the First Last Best Worst exercise. You simply reply to that email with a word or set of words reminding you of the memory of that prompt. Over time, you will start to identify patterns and connections between events and memories of those events to help find more stories from your life worth telling.
